Christmas is about being with family. Help your children understand that just because mom and dad aren’t together, their family remains the same. Reinforce that their family bonds with parents and extended family members remain the same and they will always be part of a family who loves and supports them!
The wonder of Christmas includes so many things – it is never just one event. As long as your kids are with you and feel happy and safe, they will have Christmas memories they always cherish. Don’t let ideas of what is ‘perfect’ ruin your mood or create conflict with your Ex.
